Rebranding The How To Hit a Golf Ball Project!

I am very excited to announce that HowToHitaGolfBall.Com is now GolferOnFire.Com.

If you read my bio you already know this, but for those of you who haven’t, I have played golf since I was around 8 years old. I grew up in a very small town in southwestern Ontario Canada and the only thing within miles of my house were corn fields, cows and a small town golf course.

I did work the farms a little growing up, but I also spent my fair share of time playing golf. My best friend’s dad owned the golf course so we had unlimited access to the course. My friend Bill was crazy good and I think he had 6 hole in one by the time he was 16. They even had one of the holes named “Bill’s One” because he had aced it a few times.

Anyway, I have had golf in my blood for a very long time and had even spent a little time in the golf industry, but I have never done anything on my own in the golf business so when I turned 50 earlier this year it got me thinking about what I might want to do for the rest of my life.

When my wife and I sat down to talk about it, the age old question that everyone should ask when thinking about this stuff, came up.

“If money were not an issue and you could do anything you wanted for the rest of your life, what would it be?”

I love to travel. I love riding my motorcycle and I love to play golf, so whatever it was I was going to do should include those things.

My wife and I are already in involved in the travel industry and if you’re interested in checking out what we are doing there you can go to PaulGoesGlobal.Com/travel and get more information.

We also had a motorcycle retail store for a couple of years and I really hate the retail business and enjoy riding, but had no desire to go back into that business.

And there it was.

Not only had it been a part of me my whole life, I haven’t been involved in the business for a while and I have a shit ton of knowledge about the business floating around in my head.

It just made sense.

I’d been tossing around a few ideas and while doing some research I found that HOWTOHITAGOLFBALL.COM was available.

As we were getting everything set up I told my wife I was going to set the golf industry on fire and GolferOnFire.Com was born.

I bought the domain and the rest, as they say, is history!

I look forward to creating new content for this site. As I said before I have a ton of useless knowledge about various aspects of the golf industry. There are many facets of the game that many golf pros rarely talk about that I will definitely be addressing.

Most golf professional teach a golf swing, but very few address some of the most important aspects, such as, the rules, the etiquette and the storied history of the game.

Here at GolferOnFire.Com we will discuss all of it. There will be something here for everyone who has been in the game for a while and just wants to brush up a little. There will also be information for those who are just getting started.

There is more to the game of golf than a pretty swing…

A bunch of rules…

Than hitting the ball a country mile!

Although that is really fun!

The game of golf has a storied history that needs to be told. A history of rules, etiquette, gamesmanship and psychology that can only be understood when you dive deep into the game…

And play it with passion!

We need to bring this beautiful and challenging game to a whole new generation of players.

And that is my intention with GolferOnFire.Com.

My delusion is that I can help revive a game that has gone by the wayside in the past decade or so.

We play games because it is fun.

We need to reintroduce people to the game of and show them just how fun this game can be.

And that is what we intend to do.

P.S. I think we’ll live out the part about how fricking frustrating this game can be. 🙂

P.S.S. Please feel free to leave comments and let me know what your favorite part of the game is.
